Henry Ford and  the Automobile

Henry Ford wanted cars for everyone.

Early transportation was very slow, having to use a bicycle, walk, or use the un-reliable horse-drawn carriage. Henry Ford's dream was to have a world where every family had a automobile. To make the invention of the car possible, Henry needed a prior knowlegde of motors and electricty. He then took many months in his shop on his farm raising his son, Edsel, and having his wife Clara help him assemble the quadricycle. Immediately he started an assembly line and made his first popular model as cheap as he could. It was only $200 per car, which is $4,000 in today's society. New cars are now always above $10,000. With cheap cars Henry Ford's dream came true. This affected History a lot. Without the Automobile, we would still have to ride horse-drawn carriages and have to ride a bicycle to go places. Mail is now recieved faster, destinations are reached faster, which even allows me to get to school and other places. The Automobile has made my life and many others great for transportation, I do not  know how I could live without a automobile.
